Kolkata-based Dr. Avijit Bhattacharya is a Senior Physician (Internal Medicine) with more than 25 years of experience. He studied and trained at R G Kar Medical College, Kolkata, and completed his MBBS. Subsequently, he obtained the postgraduate MD degree from IPGMER, Kolkata.
Dr. Bhattacharya has been associated with a number of reputed private hospitals over the years. He is presently attached to the Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI) as Consultant Physician, which is a practising and teaching post. He is also attached toAMRI hospitals and Sri Aurobindo Seva Kendra as Consultant Physician.
Dr. Bhattacharya's interests are Internal Medicine and Critical Care. He devotes a lot of his time tending to critically ill patients in ICUs. He is also involved in the academic aspect of the institutes he visits and regularly organises and participates in various academic programmes. He teaches DNB (Medicine) students and has been a guide to DNB students for more than five years.
Dr. Bhattacharya's hobbies are travel, photography and music.
